The Association of Web Professionals is a body who certifies web design and development companies in the UK and their abilities, therefore allowing customers to independently evaluate web professionals.

The South West RDA are the official body who promote growth and development in the South West of England. SW Screen represent the creative industries of the South West. Bristol Media are an informal organisation who promote and support the creative market in Bristol. The Web Standards Project operate at the highest levels to promote and push the use of standards within web development.
The W3C are the overseeing body of the internet and have been a constant source of growth since the internet's inception. The International Organization for Standardization works towards providing a consensus on Standardization issues. The ECMA are responsible for drafting and fast tracking international standards. The Web Standards Group promote web standards within the web development community.
